My Best Impulse Decision – Adopting My Kokho Bean

First, if you know me at all, you know my obsession for dogs. If you REALLY know me, you know that before adopting Kokho I had another fur baby called Bambino. BamBam decided to abandon me and chose my sister as a mother (that will be another blog story), but he wasn’t adopted, he was a gift. Adopting Kokho was a decision I made from beginning to end and she has chosen to love me back and not choose someone else as her dog parent – which no lie, is a legit fear of mine haha.

I’ve wanting a dog for years now. Yet, for a long time I knew I couldn’t provide the care and time needed for one… YES! Dogs take love, time and money; they don’t live of just love or on the other hand, they don’t live of just food and water. If you’re reading this and don’t truly take care of your dog, please stop, because I officially don’t like you and we will never be friends. #SorryNotSorry ANYWAY! I was in a point in my life where I was ready for a dog and had the support to take care of it to meet my work travel needs.

I follow the Humane Society of Utah on Instagram, which made me want 5 dogs, 3 cats, 2 bunnies and a bird daily. I’d always send pictures or show the pictures of the pups to Brayden (my boo thang, in case you didn’t read the other blog post). We would always aww and go all heart eyed for them, but he would tell me we’d get a dog when we get our house. We had planned that for a long time now, and we were going to get a golden retriever, so space was a must.

One day I saw the picture of an adorable 4-month-old chihuahua pup on IG and I felt I had to go to the Humane Society Instantly and get him. I sent a screenshot to Brayden saying, “OMG look at this little guy, how often do you find such young pups for adoption?” and he replied, “let’s get him boo”. So, without any hesitation, I grabbed my bag told Brad (co-worker) “I’ll be back, I’m going to get myself a puppy!” haha and ran out of there like a mad woman.
